Abstract: The article considers methodological approach to evaluate economic efficiency of mergers and acquisitions on the basis of prospective and retrospective assessment. In addition, the paper presents an algorithm to evaluate the efficiency of such deals. The article gives the findings of the applied research on the efficiency of an acquisition process.
