Abstract: The article analyzes the influence financial regulators – international stock exchanges – exercise on the companies through the changes in the requirements for information disclosure. The author also evaluates how stock sustainability indexes, non-stock sustainability ratings, corporate governance and corporate social responsibility influence companies. In this context the author scrutinizes the changes in the listing requirements introduced by the united MICEX-RTS stock exchange as well as the practice of preparing ratings of Russian companies in the field of corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and non-financial reporting.
