Author:

Abstract:

The successful anti-inflationary policy of the state is an important condition of its economic growth. When developing effective measures directed to decrease growth rates of prices, it is necessary to con‑ sider the prevailing type of inflation and its rate as well as peculiarities of the national economic develop‑ ment, because incorrect identification of factors behind inflationary processes could promote rather than reduce the overall price level. In connection with the aforementioned, the choice of anti-inflationary measures should be based on the detailed characteristic of inflation and particularities of existing eco‑ nomic mechanism. The paper demonstrates that application of unjustified policy even if it produces an anti-inflationary effect may aggravate socioeconomic problems of a country. The author reveals aspects of inflation in modern Russian economy and suggests anti-inflationary measures as a means of exerting comprehensive impact on the reasons behind inflationary processes
