Abstract:

Due to deteriorating relationships with the Western countries, searching for new economic partners is becoming increasingly relevant for Russia. With this end in view, cooperation with the Arab world countries looks prospective. Sverdlovsk oblast being the core of the median region can turn into the key partner of the Arab world countries. The powerful industrial complex of the Sverdlovsk oblast is a strong argument in favor of this statement. Its industrial production can be in demand at the Middle East and North Africa. At the same time, the industry of Sverdlovsk oblast needs long-term investment resources that can be attracted from these countries. It is important to point out that large-scale companies of Sverdlovsk oblast already have business relations with the Arab world, whereas small and medium-sized enterprises do not, because they need special consulting support. Establishing business contacts with the UAE companies seems to be the most optimal way for Sverdlovsk oblast’s businesses to enter the Arab world markets because of a greater openness of this country.
