The Assessment of Russia’s Competitiveness in the International Tourist Services Market

Abstract: The paper uses the tools of cluster analysis to measure the relative competitiveness of countries in the tourist services trade on basis of factors, identified by the authors according to M. Porter’s international competitiveness theory. The article shows Russia’s position in the international market as an exporter and importer of tourist services, its competitive advantages and weak points, and proposes the directions for the tourism competitiveness improvement in Russia.
