The Motor Fuel Market in Kazakhstan: Problems and Solutions

Abstract: The article studies the reasons for repeated dramatic increases in the prices of motor fuels in Kazakhstan’s market in conditions of Customs Union. It classifies the factors for the soaring prices and the deficit of motor fuels. The article proves the necessity to improve the mechanism of state regulation in the petrochemicals market allowing for the specifics of the Customs Union functioning, transition to the common economic space and so forth – in connection with the planned accession of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the WTO.
