Particularities of Change Management in Foreign and Domestic Health Care

Abstract: The paper defines the concept “change”; elaborates on the problems and particularities of change management in social sphere at the example of health care organizations. The article considers the system of change management in medical organizations of Great Britain and analyzes management tools used for improving planning and control, optimizing costs in the health care of the USA: concept of quality control department, successful experience of Mayo Clinic. The authors classify the changes occurring in Russian health care at the current stage of development and suggest a set of measures concerning change management in health care organizations. In addition, the paper presents the results of their implementation at the example of trauma surgery service of municipal health care in Yekaterinburg.
