Social-Economic and Political Aspects of the Activities of the Committees of the Poor at the Urals: Historiographical Essay

Abstract: The article analyzes the process of researching social-economic and political aspects of the activities of the committees of the poor at the Urals in the summer and autumn of 1918 by domestic historians; the evolution of the views of researchers on the subject of study is shown; degree of scrutiny of the problem is defined. The author formulates his own conclusions about the role played by the committees of the poor in the civil confrontation in the first quarter of the XX century.
