Foreign Experience of Reforming the Railways

Abstract: The article deals with the peculiarities of railway reforms in the EU countries and around world (Great Britain, Germany, France, the USA, Canada). The concept and methods of state regulation are examined allowing for the economic situation and operation specifics of the national railway system. The paper presents a critical overview of the current state of the Russian railways.
