Author: Anna D. Baksheeva

Abstract:

The society based on knowledge, human capital, and innovations implies changing strategic priorities and searching for non-traditional indicators to evaluate the efficiency of activities. Particularly, this means the rejection of the traditional approach to the analysis of efficiency of university’s activities.
It is necessary to find the most appropriate methodology for assessing the performance of organizations out of a vast number of existing methodologies, which combine traditional financial indicators using profits and losses and non-financial parameters. In other words, such methodology should meet the requirements of evolving reality. The author considers the factors behind the efficient performance of the higher education institutions in the context of their adaptation to the shifting requirements of the market and public sector. The research aims to examine the interface between the factors of the internal and external environment and the key performance indicators monitored by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.
