Creative Industries’ Export Promotion Strategies in the European Union

Abstract:

The paper discusses the contribution of creative industries to smart, sustainable and inclusive growth in the European Union. The author examines the structure of European creative goods and services’ exports, and classifies promotion strategies of the EU creative industries’ export. The study helps to identify the key tools of creative goods and services’ export promotion used by the EU: consulting and analytical support in foreign trade, grants and office space support, financial and tax instruments of export promotion, assistance in building clusters and network between creative industries of different countries, etc. The efficiency of creative industries’ export promotion strategies is assessed at the example of the Dutch DFA Programme.
