The Use of Hypergraph Model of the Regional Transport Network to Justify the Priority of Its Strengthening

Abstract:

The article deals with the task of the prospective transport network development for a region of the Russian Federation (at the example of Sverdlovsk and Tyumen oblasts). The study is based on the original approach developed by the authors, the mathematical model of the regional transport system, which entails the connected weighted undirected hypergraph, and algorithmic system using new software. The feasibility of building new transport communications is researched with the proposed model and methodological tools designed to examine the economic justification of planning additional elements to the transport network. The project of building a direct railroad connection between the cities Tavda and Tobolsk was selected as the specific object of the study. In the words of the spatial economics such transport connection will favour the development of the regional network along the axis of growth.
