Abstract:

Modern transit as a complex phenomenon requires constant analysis, forecasting of its qualitative and quantitative characteristics allowing for the state of affairs in the world economy. The set of problems concerning transit should be considered at international, national and regional levels for the reason that transit differs in terms of content, forms and significance. The authors state that comprehensive development of transport industry requires outstripping formation of infrastructure, logistics, renovation of fixed assets and railway vehicles, improvement of charges policy.
