Research of the Costs in the Reverse Logistics Processes

Abstract:

The article presents different treatments of the concept “reverse logistics” given by domestic and foreign authors and highlights a shift of emphasis towards compensation for losses from returned goods and minimization of negative impact on environment. The paper considers the problems of cost reduction in organization of reverse logistics processes, characterizes them and examines their impact on total costs and profit. The authors formulate proposals concerning automation of the processes of labelling, establishing rules of acceptance, placement and settlements when returning goods, standardization of service in the context of economic globalization as well as the use of systems to manage return on investments, outsourcing, automated webpages, software for the return of goods and warehouse management systems.
