Original Institutionalism and Economic Education (Part II)

Abstract: The second part of the article briefly reproduces the description of the philosophical foundations of the original institutionalism suggested by Philip Mirowski and the evidence concerning the post-WWII evolution of the profession of economists in the U.S.A given by Frederic Lee. On the basis of these description and evidence and also allowing for the experience of economic education practiced by representatives of the American original institutionalism in the first half of the XX century, which was characterized in the first part of the article, a conception of the economic education reform is proposed.
