Prospects of Development of Foodstuffs with Desired Properties to Improve the Quality of Life of the Population

Abstract: The article considers the problems of imbalanced diet as a major risk factor behind nutrition-related diseases of the population. The authors analyze the diets of adult and young population of the Sverdlovsk oblast and look at the sickness rate specifics associated with antropogenic factors. The paper suggests a hypothesis about the prospects of development of socially significant foodstuffs with desired properties to improve the quality of life of the population. The authors developed a model of integrated assessment of the quality of foodstuffs with desired properties with regard to consumer preferences.
