Abstract: The article describes the author’s technique for assessing the effect of Russia’s accession to the WTO on economic entities. The technique implies comparing real value of an indicator with forecasted value of it as if the country had not joined the WTO, i.e. as if the economic system had been under the influence of unchanged factors. The forecasted theoretical indicator may be calculated on the basis of the developed model of linear regression. The article points out universal character and novelty of the author’s technique, shows the model’s application on concrete statistical data.
